Kazakhstan: Inflation falls to over one-year low in September
Inflation came in at 11.8% in September, which was down from August’s 13.1%. September’s figure marked the lowest inflation rate since February 2022. The slowdown was largely driven by a softer rise in prices for food and clothing.
Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 16.9% in September (August: 17.4%).
Finally, consumer prices rose 0.58% over the previous month in September, which was below August’s 0.65% rise. September’s result marked the softest rise in prices since June.
