Kazakhstan: Inflation declines in April
Inflation cooled to 16.8% in April, below March’s 18.1%, marking the second consecutive decline.
Looking at the details of the release, the slowdown was drive by softer increases in prices for food and housing and utilities.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 17.8% in April (March:17.5%).
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.89% over the previous month in April, down from March’s 0.90% uptick.
