Kazakhstan: Inflation rises to over one-year high in January
Consumer prices rose 0.7% month-on-month in January, matching December’s print. Easing food price growth from the previous month was broadly offset by faster rising prices for services, according to the Statistical Institute.
Inflation logged 5.6% in January, up from December’s 5.4% outturn and marking a 16-month high. Annual average inflation, meanwhile, inched up to 5.3% from 5.2% a month prior.
