Kazakhstan: Inflation rises in July
Inflation came in at 8.6% in July, which was up from June’s 8.4%. According to the preliminary release, price pressures accelerated for services and food goods, outweighing a softer increase in prices for non-food goods.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 9.8% in July (June: 10.2%).
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.79% in July over the previous month, accelerating from the 0.34% rise seen in June. July’s figure was the highest reading since February.
