Kazakhstan: Inflation edges down in December
Consumer prices rose 0.7% over the previous month in December, down from a 0.9% month-on-month increase in November. Lower prices for non-food products were behind the more moderate increase, whereas price for food rose.
Inflation edged down to 7.1% in December from 7.3% in November. Annual average inflation fell accordingly, from 7.6% in November to 7.4% in December—the lowest rate in a year.
