Kazakhstan: Inflation inches up in August
Consumer prices rose 0.2% over the previous month in August, matching July’s month-on-month increase. Higher prices for non-food products led the upturn, while increases in the prices for food and services were milder.
Inflation inched up to 5.5% in August from 5.4% in July, remaining within the Bank’s 4.0%–6.0% target band. Lastly, annual average inflation came in at 5.3%, unchanged from the previous month.
