Kazakhstan: Inflation remains stable in November
Consumer prices increased 0.9% over the previous month in November, following a 0.4% month-on-month rise in October. The upturn reflected an across-the-board increase across all sub-components. Transport prices recorded the biggest rise, followed by food and non-alcoholic beverages, leisure and culture, and restaurants and hotels. Meanwhile, housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels saw the largest drop in prices.
Inflation remained at October’s 5.3% in November, moderating from 6.1% in September. November’s reading marked the lowest print since September 2015. Annual average inflation edged down to 6.2% in November, from 6.4% in October.
