Kazakhstan: Inflation remains steady in October
Consumer prices rose 0.70% in October over the previous month, picking up from September’s 0.41% rise. October’s result marked the highest reading since June. The increase was largely driven by rising prices for foodstuffs. In addition, price pressures for non-food goods grew at a quicker pace.
Inflation remained at September’s 8.9% in October. Meanwhile, the trend pointed up mildly, with annual average inflation coming in at 7.8% in October (September: 7.7%).
