Kenya: Inflation increases in October
Consumer prices increased 0.95% in seasonally-adjusted month-on-month terms in October, following September’s flat reading. October’s print largely reflected higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, insurance and financial services, and hotels and restaurants.
Meanwhile, inflation increased to 4.8% in October from September’s 4.2%, marking the highest reading since May. However, annual average inflation edged down to 5.1% in October from 5.3% in September.
