Kenya: Inflation rises in November
Consumer prices rose 0.41% over the previous month in November, up from October’s 0.28% increase. The food, transport, and alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics subsectors saw the steepest price increases in the month.
Inflation jumped to 5.6% in November, from October’s 5.0%. Thus, inflation rose above the midpoint of the Central Bank’s 2.5%–7.5% target range. Lastly, annual average inflation was unchanged from October’s 5.2%.
