Korea: Consumer confidence falls to six-month low in May
Consumer confidence fell to 98.4 in May from April’s 100.7. May’s result marked the worst performance since November 2023. Consequently, the index fell below the 100-point threshold, indicating pessimism among consumers.
Current living standards, prospective household spending, and current domestic economic conditions each fell by one point. Prospective living standards and prospective household income decreased by two points each.
