Korea: Industrial output dips in June
Industrial output dropped 1.0% in month-on-month seasonally-adjusted terms in June, which contrasted May’s 3.0% increase. June’s notable downturn was largely driven by drops in manufacturing and mining and quarrying output.
On an annual basis, industrial output dove 7.1% in seasonally adjusted terms in June, which was well greater than May’s 4.6% fall. Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 5.6%, down from May’s minus 4.8%.
