Korea: Industrial output rebounds in June
Industrial output rose 0.5% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in June, which contrasted May’s 0.6% decrease. The turnaround came on the back of recoveries in manufacturing and mining and quarrying production.
On an annual basis, industrial production grew 4.8% in seasonally adjusted terms in June, notably above May’s 2.1% expansion. Accordingly, the trend improved, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 3.8%, up from May’s 3.0% reading.
