Korea: Manufacturing PMI increases in November
The S&P Global Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) came in at 50.0 in November, up from October’s 49.8. November’s result marked the best reading since June 2022 and was the first time in 17 months that the index was not below the 50.0 no-change threshold.
Output was broadly unchanged from the prior month, while new orders fell at a softer rate. In addition, employment continued to rise. Meanwhile, input and output continued to increase at marked paces. Finally, business sentiment fell to the weakest since June.
