Latvia: Inflation edges down in November

Consumer prices fell 0.1% from the previous month in November, compared to a 0.7% month-on-month increase in October. According to Latvia’s Central Statistical Bureau, the reading largely reflected lower prices for clothing and footwear, and recreation and culture more than offsetting higher prices for miscellaneous goods.

Inflation edged down to 3.0% in November, from an 18-month high of 3.2% in October. Nevertheless, annual average inflation remained stable for the third consecutive month in November at 2.5%. Meanwhile, harmonized inflation moderated from 3.2% in October to 2.9% in November.
