Lithuania: Economic sentiment hits highest reading since January in November
Economic sentiment rose to 96.9 in November from October’s 96.3. November’s result marked the best reading since January. Consequently, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected healthier sentiment in the industrial sector and the construction sectors. Meanwhile, confidence in the services sector deteriorated in November, while sentiment in the retail sector improved in the surveyed month. Lastly, consumer confidence remained stable in November.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations were healthier, while the economic uncertainty index remained stable in November.
