Lithuania: Economic sentiment eases in July
Economic sentiment fell to 99.7 in July from June’s 99.9. Consequently, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected stable confidence in the services sector and waning sentiment in the retail sector. Consumer confidence also softened in July. That said, July saw stronger sentiment in the industrial and construction sectors.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations improved, while the economic uncertainty index fell in July.
