Lithuania: GDP growth slows in Q2
GDP rose 2.0% year on year in the second quarter of 2022, according to preliminary data. The result followed the 4.8% increase logged in the prior quarter. Meanwhile, in seasonally-adjusted quarter-on-quarter terms, GDP swung into contraction in Q2, falling 0.9%, after the 1.2% rise logged in Q1.
The second quarter’s year-on-year slowdown was due to weaker results in the transportation and storage, and real estate sectors.
More detailed national accounts data for Q2 will be released on 31 August.
