Lithuania: Decline in industrial output softens in November
Industrial output dropped 0.2% in year-on-year terms in November, which was a smaller drop than October’s 0.6% decrease. The softer contraction came on the back of accelerating electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning output. A softer drop in mining and quarrying activity further supported the reading. However, manufacturing production deteriorated.
On a monthly and seasonally adjusted basis, industrial output was stable in November, improving from Octobers 0.5% fall. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 4.5%, down from October’s minus 1.2% reading.
