Lithuania: Industrial activity dips in March
Industrial production dropped 3.4% year on year in March (February: +4.1% yoy). March’s reading was largely driven by a deterioration in manufacturing output. In addition, mining and quarrying output lost steam.
On a monthly basis, factory output grew 3.2% in seasonally adjusted terms in March, contrasting February’s 2.8% fall. Meanwhile, the trend improved notably, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 3.8%, up from February’s minus 8.4% reading.
