Lithuania: Industrial output posts quickest growth since June 2023 in January
Industrial output expanded 4.9% year on year in January (December: -7.4% yoy). The result marked the best reading since June 2023. The rebound stemmed from rising electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production. In contrast, manufacturing production weakened.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose 7.1% in January (December: -1.5% mom), the best result since July 2022. Meanwhile, the trend improved significantly, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 11.0%, up from December’s minus 13.9%.
