Lithuania: Industrial output rebounds in October
Industrial output expanded 0.6% compared to the same month of the previous year in October, which contrasted September’s 2.4% decrease. Looking at the details of the release, October’s pickup was driven by accelerating growth in manufacturing and a slower decrease in activity in the mining and quarrying, and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning sub-sectors.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production fell 0.9% in October (September: +0.3% mom). Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 17.2%, up from September’s minus 18.6% reading.
