Lithuania: Industrial output growth rises in August
Industrial production rose 15.2% year on year in August (July: +8.7% yoy). August’s figure was partly driven by faster growth in manufacturing output. In contrast, mining and quarrying output fell heavily.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, factory output rose at a softer pace of 3.1% in August (July: +9.2% mom). Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 4.5% in August, down from July’s 5.8%.
