Lithuania: Harmonized inflation comes in at highest level since our records began in September
Harmonized inflation rose to 22.5% in September from August’s 21.1%. September’s result was the highest inflation rate since our current records began. Looking at the details of the release, housing and utilities prices rose at a quicker pace in September compared to the previous month, while price pressures for transportation eased.
Annual average harmonized inflation rose to 15.9% in September (August: 14.6%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 24.1% in September, from August’s 22.4%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 2.89% from the previous month in September, after August’s 0.59% increase.
