Lithuania: Harmonized inflation drops to lowest level since March 2021 in November
Harmonized inflation came in at 2.3% in November, down from October’s 3.1%. November’s figure marked the lowest inflation rate since March 2021. The result was primarily driven by a more moderate increase in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, price pressures for transportation declined at a sharper pace. Moreover, prices for recreation grew at a more subdued pace.
In addition, the trend pointed down, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 10.2% in November (October: 11.7%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 2.0% in November, from the previous month’s 2.8%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices dropped 0.40% from the previous month in November, contrasting October’s 0.34% increase. November’s result marked the weakest reading since May 2020.
