Lithuania: Harmonized inflation increases in May
Harmonized inflation rose to 0.9% in May, following April’s 0.4%. The pick-up was broad-based, with greater price pressures recorded for food and non-alcoholic beverages, transportation, and housing and utilities.
Annual average harmonized inflation fell to 3.0% in May (April: 3.8%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 0.5% in May from April’s 0.1%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.30% over the previous month in May, largely in line with April’s 0.26% increase.
