Lithuania: Inflation accelerates in October
Consumer prices rose 0.6% from the previous month in October, down from September’s 1.3% month-on-month increase. According to the Statistical Institute, the reading largely reflected higher prices for clothing, fuels, footwear and heat energy.
Inflation accelerated to a five-month high of 2.9% in October, from 2.5% in September. Nevertheless, annual average inflation edged down to 3.0% in October, from 3.2% in the previous month. Meanwhile, harmonized inflation rose to 2.8% in the same month from 2.4% in September, marking the highest reading since May.
