Lithuania: Inflation declines to lowest level since May in September
Consumer prices rose 0.40% from the previous month in September, contrasting the 0.19% fall recorded in August. The rebound in price pressures was primarily driven by rising prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Inflation came in at 0.7% in September, below August’s 1.3%. September’s figure marked the weakest inflation rate since May. In addition, the trend pointed down mildly, with annual average inflation coming in at 1.6% in September (August: 1.7%). Lastly, harmonized inflation fell to 0.7% from August’s 1.2%.
