Lithuania: Inflation ticks down in July
Consumer prices fell 0.5% from the previous month in July, following a flat reading in June. According to the Statistical Institute, the decrease was largely driven by lower prices for clothing and footwear, and food products and non-alcoholic beverages, which more than offset higher prices for transport.
Inflation ticked down to 2.5% in July, from June’s 2.6%. Meanwhile, harmonized inflation moderated to 2.3% in July from 2.6% in June. In turn, annual average harmonized inflation edged down from 3.5% in June to 3.4% in July, the lowest reading since October 2017.
