Luxembourg: Economic sentiment falls in November
Economic sentiment fell to 89.4 in November from October’s 95.2. As a result, the index remained entrenched below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a downbeat near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected weaker sentiment in the industrial sector, which fell for the first time since June. That said, improved sentiment in the construction sector moderated the overall deterioration. Meanwhile, consumer confidence rose in November.
Referring to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, the economic uncertainty index improved in November.
