Luxembourg: Harmonized inflation jumps in December
Consumer prices ticked up 0.1% in December after remaining unchanged in November. The figure largely reflected higher prices for recreation and culture; transport; and, food and non-alcoholic beverages, which more than offset lower prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco, and communication.
Meanwhile, inflation increased to 1.7% in December from 1.2% in November, while harmonized inflation rose to 1.8% from 1.0%. That said, annual average inflation edged down to 1.7% from to 1.8% in November.
