Luxembourg: Harmonized inflation moderates in June
Harmonized inflation dropped to 1.0% in June below May’s 2.0%. June’s figure marked the lowest inflation rate since February 2021. Looking at the details of the release, food and housing inflation moderated in June while prices for transportation declined at a quicker rate.
Annual average harmonized inflation fell to 5.6% in June (May: 6.4%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 3.2% in June, from May’s 3.6%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.45% from the previous month in June, swinging from May’s 0.19% fall.
