Malaysia: Industrial output growth dips in November
Industrial output expanded 0.6% year on year in November, which was a deterioration from October’s 2.4% increase. The figure was largely driven by a drop in manufacturing production. In addition, electricity and gas output lost pace.
On a monthly basis, industrial output fell 0.2% in seasonally adjusted terms in November, contrasting October’s 0.3% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at an over two-year low of 1.1% in November, down from October’s 1.5%.
