Mexico: Consumer confidence deteriorates in August
Consumer confidence fell to 42.7 in August from July’s 43.9 amid spiking Covid-19 cases. This was a result of across-the-board declines in the subsectors, with consumers becoming more pessimistic regarding their personal economic situation over the past year, their personal economic situation over the next year, the general economic situation of the country over the past 12 months and the general economic situation of the country over the next 12 months.
