Mexico: Consumer confidence improves but remains in negative territory in April
Consumer confidence came in at 44.3 in April, up from March’s 43.9. Despite the uptick, the index remained entrenched below the 50-threshold, indicating pessimism among consumers.
The rise came on the back of an improvement in consumers’ assessments of the present and future general economic situation. In contrast, consumers’ views of their current and future personal financial situation deteriorated.
