Netherlands: Business confidence rises to over one-year high in March
Business confidence jumped to 3.4 in March from February’s 0.1. As such, the index moved further above the neutral zero-threshold that separates optimism from pessimism among businesses. Moreover, March’s print marked a 13-month high and came in markedly above the long-term average of 0.2 over the past 20 years.
The uptick was driven by increased optimism regarding business expectations and order books. On the other hand, views on stocks of finished goods were unchanged.
