New Zealand Consumer Confidence July 2024

New Zealand: Consumer confidence increases in July

Consumer confidence came in at 87.9 in July, up from June’s 83.2. July’s result marked the best reading since February. However, the index remained below the 100-threshold, signaling that consumers were pessimistic—this is likely to feed through to muted private spending.

Consumer grew more upbeat about future conditions, while inflation expectations fell to a near four-year low.
