Norway: Inflation ticks down in March
Consumer prices flat in March, following February’s 0.1% dip. The reading was primarily due to lower prices for housing and utilities, and food and non-alcoholic beverages, which was offset by higher prices for clothing and footwear, and transportation.
Inflation softened to 0.7% in March from 0.9% in February, consequently moving further below the Norges Bank’s 2.0% target rate. Meanwhile, average inflation ticked down from 1.9% in February to 1.7% in January.
