Panama: Economic activity growth slows in June
Economic activity increased 1.9% compared to the same month of the previous year in June, which followed May’s 3.9% increase. Advance estimates suggest that activity in the trade, construction, manufacturing, agricultural, and mining and quarrying sectors declined, while the transportation and storage, financial, and fishery sectors expanded at a quicker pace during the month.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of economic activity coming in at 3.5% in June, down from May’s 3.7%.
