Panama: Economic activity growth gains momentum in November
In November, economic activity grew 23.4% compared to the same month of the previous year, which was above October’s 17.4% increase. Food manufacturing, cement production and transportation activity at the Canal were among the subsectors that registered growth in the month. In contrast, activities related to hotels and financial intermediation registered a fall in the month.
Meanwhile, the trend improved notably, with the annual average growth of economic activity coming in at 16.5% in November, up from October’s 13.4%.
