Panama: Consumer prices fall in August
Consumer prices dropped 0.3% over the prior month in August, contrasting the 0.2% increase registered in July. The decline was driven by sharply lower prices for transport and alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
Meanwhile, consumer prices fell 0.6% on an annual basis in August, following the 0.3% decline in July. Growth in annual average inflation was flat in August, down from 0.2% in July.
