Peru: Business confidence ticks up in September
The business confidence indicator rose to 47.0 points in September from 45.0 points in August, which had marked the lowest print since March 2017. Thus, the indicator remained below the 50-point threshold that separates pessimism from optimism.
September’s uptick reflected slightly rosier expectations on the general economic situations and on the sector, as well as stronger employment expectations. In contrast, the demand outlook deteriorated somewhat from the previous month.
