Peru: Inflation declines further in July
Consumer prices rose 0.20% over the previous month in July, contrasting June’s 0.09% month-on-month fall. July’s increase was largely the result of higher prices for food and transport.
Meanwhile, inflation declined to 2.1% from June’s 2.3%, grazing the midpoint of the Central Bank’s target range of 2.0% plus or minus 1.0 percentage points. Core inflation, which exclude energy and food prices, eased to 2.1% from 2.3% in June.
