Peru: Inflation rises in September
Consumer prices in Metropolitan Lima increased 0.14% in September over the previous month, contrasting August’s 0.11% drop. September’s uptick was mainly caused by a rise in living and utility costs.
Inflation came in at 1.8% in September, up from August’s 1.7%. Meanwhile, the trend was unchanged for the third month running, with annual average inflation coming in at 1.8% in September, equaling the reading from July and August. Lastly, core inflation was unchanged coming in at August’s 1.6% in September.
