Philippines: Inflation falls to lowest level since July in November
Consumer prices increased a seasonally-adjusted 0.54% in November over the previous month, decelerating from October’s 0.85% increase. November saw a rebound in food prices, although softer housing and energy price increases held back the reading somewhat.
Inflation came in at 4.2% in November, which was down from October’s 4.6%. November’s result represented the weakest inflation rate since July. Meanwhile, the trend pointed up slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 4.4% in November (October: 4.3%). Lastly, core inflation edged down to 3.3% in November, from October’s 3.4%.
