Poland: Business confidence drops to three-month low in July
Business confidence fell to minus 1.4 in July from June’s minus 0.6 result, marking the worst reading in three months. As a result, the index dropped below the 0-threshold, separating pessimism from optimism among businesses.
July’s reading largely reflected deterioration in firms’ expectations over the future general economic situation, future production and future orderbooks. Moreover, their perception over their future personal financial situation turned somewhat more pessimistic compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, firms’ appraisal over their current orderbooks and production turned pessimistic in July.
