Poland: The economy continues to roar through Q3
According to preliminary data released by the Central Statistical Office on 14 November, the economy expanded an unadjusted 5.1% annually in Q3, matching Q2’s expansion and exceeding market analysts’ expectations. Although a breakdown by expenditure is not yet available, a strong expansion in retail sales, tight labor market conditions and moderate inflation all suggest that growth was driven once again by buoyant private consumption.
On a seasonally-adjusted quarter-on-quarter basis, growth accelerated from 1.1% in Q2 to 1.7%.
More comprehensive data will be released on 30 November.
