Poland: Industrial output expands at quickest pace since January in October
Industrial output expanded 1.6% in year-on-year terms in October, which contrasted September’s 3.3% decrease. The print marked the best reading since January. The reading reflected a broad-based upturn, with activity in the mining and quarrying, manufacturing and electricity, gas and utilities sub-sectors all improving in October.
On a monthly basis, industrial production dropped 0.3% in seasonally adjusted terms in October, contrasting September’s 0.9% expansion.. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 12.3% in October, down from September’s minus 12.0%.
