Poland: Industrial output growth strengthens in July
Industrial output grew 4.9% in year-on-year terms in July, which was up from the previous month’s downwardly revised flat reading. The notable upturn largely reflected rebounds in mining and quarrying plus manufacturing production. Additionally, growth in energy output and water supply picked up.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, factory output fell 0.2% in July (June: +1.0% mom). Meanwhile, the trend improved sizably, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.7%, up from June’s minus 2.1%.
