Poland: Industrial output plunges in March
Industrial output plunged 6.0% compared to the same month of the previous year in March, contrasting February’s 3.3% increase. The print marked the worst reading since April 2022. March’s downturn came on the back shrinking mining and quarrying and manufacturing production.
Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at an over one-year high of minus 7.3%, up from February’s minus 8.6% reading. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, factory output fell 5.5% in March (February: -0.2% mom).
